About

Marcela Escandón is a Colombian-born author, somatic coach, and mentor to women rebuilding their lives after divorce. Her work sits at the intersection of psychology, the body, and ancestral wisdom.
It’s rooted in her own life: nearly a decade inside a controlling and verbally abusive marriage, years of doing every form of personal development available, and the slow discovery that none of it reached the layer that was actually running her life. That changed when she stopped trying to fix herself and started witnessing what she’d inherited.
What she found became The Alchemy of Becoming and the Five Movements at its heart: a way to separate your own voice from inherited survival patterns, and to act before you feel ready. She now brings that work to women one-on-one, through somatic coaching and ancestral healing sessions, with a focus on women in transition, immigrant women, Latinas, and women leaving coercive control, who deserve a guide who has been somewhere recognizable.
She is, in her own words, still a student, a decade into the work, still learning her lineage and finding gifts she didn’t know were there. She believes that’s the only reason she can be trusted to walk anyone else through it.
